The keepers behind Kestrelvalearcade

Kestrelvalearcade began with a shared lair and a long argument about whether a dragon could be too green. A handful of us had been keeping creatures online for years, mostly in different games, and we kept recommending them to friends without any clear way to explain which one would suit whom.

So we started writing it down properly. Every game on this site was played on fresh accounts for weeks, through first hatchlings, lost eggs, busy festivals and quiet weeks when real life took over. We kept notes on routines, breeding, fairness and community, and those notes became the four scores you see on every review.

We play on ordinary laptops and phones, in ordinary evenings, from homes scattered around Britain. That means our reviews describe what a normal keeper actually experiences, not what a game looks like in a trailer or a press release.

The site is small on purpose. Six games, chosen and ranked carefully, revisited when they change. We would rather tell you a lot about a few creature games than a little about many.

01

Weeks of play before a single score

Breeding games take time to reveal themselves, so we never score anything until we have raised at least one generation and lived with the daily routine.

02

Free keepers first

Every score is judged from the point of view of a player who never spends money. Optional extras are noted, but they never prop up a ranking.

03

Corrections welcomed and acted on

Games change constantly. When readers point out something new or wrong, we check it ourselves and update the review promptly.
